Looking for information on particular painting/artist?

I have an oil painting. It was purchased in London in the 1990s for $100.00. It depicts "faceless" people walking down the streets (of London?) most definitely talking to one another. The buildings look like old "cottagy" type structures. The ladies all have dresses/skirts on. VERY colorful. Signed in bottom left hand corner "BERNARD". Does not seem to be a Bernard Buffet style painting. Any help would be appreciated.

Why don't you take a picture of your painting and post it here?

It definitely would help re style, and maybe identification...

- copy the link for forums

- click "post reply" on A2K. Click "IMG"

- Past your link.

-clik"submit" (or preview to see if it works)

If you go to Google and type Artist Bernard, you will find several artists with that name. You may find something similar to your painting.
