Really?

Evolutionists would say it was a 'planned event' ?

You however have not addressed how menopause (being supposedly a function of evolution) presents a 'survival advantage' consistent with evolutionary principle.

have you taken any sociology courses?

How the heck did menopause come into play as a failure on this thread?

Sociology? What does sociology say on the matter of menopause, anyway?

Do you know what entropy is?

4.The tendency for all matter and energy in the universe to evolve toward a state of inert uniformity.
5. Inevitable and steady deterioration of a system or society

from http://www.thefreedictionary.com/entropy

The Bible refers to this as the law of sin and death, specifically referring to the physical creation.

You should read it sometime.

Real has made so many twists and turns even he can't keep his lies straight anymore.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for my LAUGH OF THE YEAR RL.

P.S. When R.L tries to deny he ever said anything of the kind I'm sure PARADOS would be happy to provide RL's post, quotes, chapter and verse. I.'m gona chuckle about this for a full week, I just know it!!!!!

Never said that. My point was just the opposite, that SLT applies to ALL systems.

Hello?

We're laughing now too. Are you? Laughing

Case and point: If you understand Thermodynamics, then you understand that evolution doesn't violate it. If you believe that evolution violates it, you don't understand thermodynamics.

Good. Then it should be no problem for you to show a post where I claimed that the SLT only applies to closed systems.

I'll give you a hint. Try the 'Search' function.

Can you find one? No?

Well maybe that's because there isn't one, but there's plenty that show me taking issue with those saying that SLT only applies to closed systems.

Please by all means TCR, continue to embarrass yourself by dragging this out. As anyone who posts here regularly will tell you, I would be glad to discuss this for days on end.

Highlighting the foolishness and misrepresentations of folks like you is one of life's little pleasures.

Sure I'll just stop and jump through your hoops. Then you can tell me that that's not what you MEANT, we've played that game before. Besides everyone on the thread knows what you said because they were there back then.

Even you can't lie your way out of this one. What you have never seemed to grasp is the fact that you can't lie about something to the people who were there. You need to try lying to people who don't already know better.

However if YOU want to be embarresed, you can ask PARADOS real nice and I'm sure he will point out all the places for you, he has is more patient than I and gets more out of playing your games. Then you can tell him that wasn't what you MEANT.

My only embarrasment will be my inability to stop chuckling in time for meeting with my client team in 30 minutes.

I'm very happy to revisit any of these points for you TCR. Your posts (and those of others) are monuments to muddled thinking.

The whole organism is a result of evolution, and menopause is a part of the organism.

Well, I don't think so. But USFHokie seems to think differently, judging from his previous post. I'll wait so see what he has to say on that.

But in general, not every structure or system of any creature necessarily provides an advantage. Many things simply don't have any selectable disadvantage, so they linger in the genome. It's this very diversity in the genome which allows for such tremendous variation within populations so that mutations are not always required to generate new forms and functions.

TCR,

I don't care if you're Albert Einstein.

Your posts reveal you as a person who can't follow a conversation and keep straight who said what, and feels the need to misrepresent it to cover himself.

That is one thing that you have in common with my clients. They don't care that I am not Albert Einstein either. The difference being, if I was Albert Einstein they would be happy to get that level of expertise and use it to their advantage, while you would tell me I didn't know anything about relativity theory and you were the one who did!

ROFLMAO Laughing Laughing Laughing

It is ironic that while I have a few areas in which I have expertise, you on the other hand know more about geology than the geologists, more about biology than the biologists, more about ecology that the ecologists, more about chemistry than the chemists, more about physics that the physicists, more about astronomy than the astronomers, and more about religion and the mind of God than anyone on this siteÂ…yet its me that the corporations pay for advice and not YOU.

While there could be many reasons for this I can think of two right off: either life is just unfair, or you are just so chuck full of sh*t that its amazing.

Yea; It's probably the unfair thingy.

By the way the meeting went real well...so I guess they are just as muddled as I am.

the evolutionary guess as why menopause occurs has already been brought up - the "grandma theory".

but more to the point, you are absolutely right in that not every part of every organism is required to show an advantage.
