Curry's is a UK shop chain selling TVs and computers. Currys are Indian spicy dishes.

I always cook the spices first before adding the other ingredients. Also I place the cooked rice in a strainer and wash out the starch with a kettle full of boiling water.

Curries (and their ingredients) vary from region to region. I cook curries on a regular basis and would be more than happy to send you a basic recipe. However, here is a link to a recent T.V. series which I have made most of the recipes' from, you may find it useful.

As for rice... there is no one recipe, but as an accompaniment to (Indian) curry, it must be Basmati. I was always taught that you must wash the rice very gently, as as soon as you break the grains, your rice will always be 'sticky'. There is a saying that you should wash your rice, once, then once for each guest, and then once for the Prophet (peace be upon him). I would NEVER wash rice with boiling water, but hey, I'm not the font of all rice knowledge (only 30+years). I've just never done it that way, so it could work?

Hope this helps:
