"Thanks to everyone back home... especially my wife," said an emotional Gerry after Last Comic Standing host Bill Bellamy revealed he had been eliminated on the cusp of the finals.

The Toronto, ON-native was sent packing based on the results of home viewer voting that followed last week's performance episode broadcast, which saw the season's Top 3 finalists -- Gerry, Lavell Crawford, and Jon Reep -- each deliver a stand-up routine. In addition, Gerry was the last "international" Last Comic Standing 5 finalist remaining in the competition."

No one won yet - the finale is this Wednesday between Lavell Crawford and Jon Reep.

That could be true - as funny as Lavell is, I didn't like him over the third place guy - but then again everyone has a different funny bone.

Linkat, I agree with you about liking the third place guy. He had a smoother delivery than either of the last 2. We were both pleasantly surprised that Jon Reep won. I can't wait to see his other physical sketches such as the lawn sprinkler.

I see you like the games. Could you explain the word game where the next word uses the previous word? Thanks.

I was very happy too! Unfortunately I fell asleep shortly after the Lavell Roasting so I didn't see him actually win. I had to search for it on the web to find out.

As far as the word game - it could be one of two games I'm thinking of -

One is a word association game. The person before you has a word with one letter capitalized (any letter within the word). You use that capital letter to begin your word - you come up with a word that is similar or associated with that word. Like: largE - then enornoMous - megA and so on.

The other is use last letters to make a new word - you try to use as many of the last letters as the person before you to begin a new word. Like - house - user - serve - and so on.
