I inherited a painting that I am trying to identify. I do not know the artist. The piece depicts a young boy with shoulder length sandy brown hair holding a dog. As there is no brush strokes it must be a print. The back is covered with paper so I cannot see the back
except in one spot where it appears there is a board on the back. It is stamped on the back with the words Wedgefield Pictures, Stock No. x 25.
How do I attach an image as I have one of this print to post?
type "Wedgefield Pictures" (with the quote marks) into Google and you will see lots and lots of references to that picture company. Some of their prints have been offered on Ebay for as much as $1.95 (no bids!)
To attach an image, edit your post or reply to it and click on the IMG button. A box will appear, and in the box you type or paste the web address of the picture. (I.e. you have to upload it somewhere)
Your link only goes to the sign in page.
The website link has to end in jpg or gif (possibly a few other photo link endings) to have the link work on a2k.
I've not used "shutterfly", so I can't just say how to do that specifically.
Did you follow contrex's suggestion re Wedgefield? If you see it on that site, you can get their link to the print.
I have tried ebay and they do not have this picture.

I will check on this.

Yes, I tried ebay and the pictures were not the same Wedgefield Pictures was a framing company and not the artist.
It's a one in a million chance, but does it look like this?

That's the first one I thought of, Green Witch. My grandma had one. I'll bet everybody's grandma did.
Yes Tai, it's the classic. The artist is Jane Freeman and there seems to be at least one at every flea market and garage sale. There is a companion print showing a girl with cat. Retail value: $5-$25 depending on condition and frame.

That is it. Thanks millions! Do you all know the circa?
You can do some research here, but you have to register with the site:
Jane Freeman
