I know that we as individuals like to sit back and pop in a movie after a hard days work to try and relax, though at the same time there is an old statement on the behalf of the so called moral behind the story. We get so wrapped up in day to day life and just wish to take a mere 90 min's to 3 hr's to try and unwind with a feature at times that at times we forget to notice the transcendence that director had really had in mind whether consciously or sub-consciously in his or her work. I wish to take this opportunity to view some of your favorite movies and look beyond the Soundtrack, budget, lighting, and anything else used to package it to corporate America. I wish to start a new discussion on the few seconds or minutes we spend after watching a truly "real" movie and what goes through our head.
Let us sociologically dissect the characters and storyline and share with each other why it is that we cringe and grab each other holding tight, cry or laugh, and have to go out and by the DVDs. I wish for you as members if you feel to compile a list of your favorite movies as a majority to talk about how it touched your soul and where it might have brought you.
