Interesting perspective and point of view, there! Sometimes one can be blinded by one's own habits. Binoculars are meant to be viewed the OTHER way, I believe.

i too own the system. these things do not have to be done every year. they recommend the washers be changed every three to five and the carbon changed out every 4 or 5 yrs.

"they recommend..." Can you be more specific? WHO recommends the washers be changed every 3-5 yrs and carbon every 4-5 yrs? Is the system a RainSoft EC4?
