Im moving soon, and i want to start fresh.

What is a good diet? it sounds simple enough.

I want to know foods are the best for you.
I dont want to be eating plums if an apple provides 60% more nutrients if you know what i mean.

Im just looking for a diet that is simple but includes foods that cover all the bases when it comes down to nutrients and vitamins etc..

Five portions of fresh vegetables or fruit per day, not too much fat or salt in your meals, a good balance of carbohydrates and protein, drink several large glasses of water a day and take regular exercise.

Easy, in theory.

Some so called "superfoods" to consider, to ward off all kinds of nasties.

Beans
Blueberries
Broccoli
Oats
Oranges
Pumpkin
Salmon
Soy
Spinach
Tea (green or black)
Tomatoes
Turkey
Walnuts
Yogurt

In actual fact, I've just read somewhere that blackberries are even better for you than blueberries, and top the league for antioxidants.

Fruit smoothies are good, as long as they don't have added sugar.

its a juice, not a smoothie well it is a smoothie, but its basically just fruits blended together. IMO the naked juices are a really good thing, in the not bad for you at all sense LOL. to bad they are like 4 bux a pop.

quality isnt cheap.

Might be worth investing in a smoothie blender and doing it yourself. I bet it works out cheaper in the long run.

Some berry good facts.

Variety is good. I'll be back later but the one point I want to quickly make is that the idea of eating apples vs. plums or whatever is okay but it's probably better to spread out and go with variants. A few mg of nutrients one way or the other probably won't matter much, particularly if you're eating good fresh fruit either way. It's the plum vs. chocolate bar equation that's more important.
