im diabetic, overweight and i need to lose weight fast...please help.

Fast weight loss never works, especially when you're diabetic.
Go to a licensed nutritionist or your endocrinologist and have them work
out a good diet plan for you. Stick to it and exercise regularly.
You'll see progress very soon then.

Not only doesn't it work, it generally means you'll gain more than the loss back fast. Pay attention to the diabetes, it is vitally important, and listen to Green Witch (and others) on the teen weight loss thread.

1. Why do you need to lose weight FAST? What's the rush?

2. Are you officially overweight? Is your BMI over the healthy range? By how much?

3. How well do you understand your diabetes? Is the glucose-insulin ratio controlled? Are you on insulin at all?

Unless you are morbidly obese (over 100 lbs. normal weight) there is no way in hell that you are losing 20 lbs in two weeks. Even then, what you would lose is water, not fat. Not only it is practically impossible, even attempting to do it is very dangerous.

Check out the diabetic diets, and stick to it. Slow and steady wins the race!

First you need to get good nutrition advice, suitable for a person who's diabetic.

Next you need to take your time with your diet and your excercise.

A quick loss of weight could kill you, if you're not careful.

I suspect that in 2 weeks there is some sort of event to be skinny for.

If you drop the weight in 2 weeks, you will be very ill and will almost 100% guaranteed gain it all back and more.

Im 13 years old female and 158 pounds i need to lose weight it kills me inside when i know that i eat alot nd every day i have to deal with the pain of knowing i am over weight . people tell me im not over weight but they dont see how i feel. i want to lose 25 pounds in 2 weeks i need help can someone please give me some tips i know i have to watch what i eat im trying.. but its hard. if you can give me any tips just reply to me at shockdrop101@aol.com please and thank you!

I didn't even do that, and I was starting from 346 and taking alli. Try losing 25 lbs. in 4 months. It's a lot better for you.

You don't need to lose weight fast, you need to lose it - if you do - slow and steady and securely. I'm one here who is for very slow and sure, so that your body accommodates to changed metabolism without thinking it's starving, which is a no-no. That only gears it for later gain.

We have many threads here on a2k about dealing with diet and diabetes.

Also, we don't know your gender, your height, or your interest in any kind of exercise.

But, whatever, forget losing pounds in two weeks, it's a fools game.
