We could adopt the EC model (Brussels- Strasburg) and have six months of the whole country being governed from Westminster, then shift the whole jing-bang up to Edinburgh and govern from there.
You know it makes sense.

@McTag,
It's only the EU-Parliament which travels.

@Walter Hinteler,
Cameron held a cabinet meeting in Scotland, I know it's not the same as the whole parliament, but it's something.

@Walter Hinteler,

But what's going on at Glasgow's George Square tonight?

That seemed to be part of the Scottish disease, religious sectarianism.

It was organised. Unionist supporters were bussed in, low-brow protestant Orangemen, to engage in some triumphalist posturing.
Not much rough stuff, and the police cleared it up.
What a pity that the world's press were there, looking for things to film.

@Walter Hinteler,

Walter, I apologise.

We all have to be vigilant about right-wing thuggery.

@izzythepush,
(Paderborn) First ... at least for 90 more minutes, but with a Bundesliga all time record: a 83-metre-goal (not 80 yards)

@contrex,
Goal scoring celebrations have really come on a bit since the 1970s.

I felt exactly the same, pleased about the Spurs Liverpool results as well, that'll teach 'em for swiping our players/manager.

New Zealand may vote next year on changing its flag, the newly re-elected Prime Minister, John Key, said today, as the country seeks to assert an identity independent of colonial ties to Britain.

Not sure, how much that will hurt - the antipodes of New Zealand's lower North Island lies in Spain. Wink

@Walter Hinteler,

Quote:
POLICE said last night they were confident of tracing more people after making 11 arrests following “ugly” scenes at a

violent pro-Union demonstration in Glasgow on Friday.

Officers set up an incident room to examine “valuable” CCTV evidence as SNP councillors criticised them for not acting more quickly to contain the disorder that broke out just hours after the Scottish independence referendum result was announced.

Police Scotland said arrests were for disorder, breach of the peace and vandalism, after people were attacked or threatened by the 700-strong mob who set off flares in the city’s George Square, where peaceful Yes rallies were held during the referendum campaign.

An estimated 150 police, some on horseback, were drafted in to separate the Union-flag waving demonstrators – some of whom were members of the extreme right-wing Scottish Defence League – from independence supporters.

A number of flags bearing Loyalist and Rangers FC insignia and messages could be seen among the pro-Union crowd, and witnesses reported hearing sectarian chants and songs.

Footage showed people being kicked to the ground, Nazi-style salutes and Saltire flags being grabbed from people’s hands. A photographer was forced to flee after being threatened with having his camera smashed.

He said: “I saw people being kicked about and some of the Unionists were even fighting each other. It was a poisonous atmosphere, with people with Union flags draped over their shoulders intimidating Yes supporters.”

The scum are always with us.

I've never heard of the Scottish Defence League before.
