Hey, saw in the news this morning, seven of the German team (or squad) have got a bug! Lahm won't say which ones. Gute Besserung, guys.
That'd be a shame if they can't field a strong team.
Still, at least a bridge did not fall on the team bus.
@McTag,
That was a kind of cold. Nothing to make deeper thoughts about, it was said yesterday in the press conference.
@McTag,
Walter will no doubt be too modest to mention it, but well done to Germany in the football competition, which I believe is still going on.

I've heard, too, that there's actually one still going on.
But the
Tour d'Angleterre à France aka
Le Tour starts in Leeds today, pleasing especially any Yorkie and Eastie ...
@Walter Hinteler,
Quite a British sport weekend for me: Tour, Silverstone, Wimbledon.
What a painful dilemma confronts the xenophobes and the Little Englanders represented here by Romeo and his mates.
In the final, to support Germany...or Argentina?
Perhaps they'd just prefer to slit their wrists.
@McTag,
Following a delightful trip to the Christmas markets in Trier and Koblenz where everyone was extremely pleasant, I know who I'll be supporting.
@izzythepush,
I suspect a glass or three of Glúhwein may have coloured your experience (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Saw something in The Scotsman this morning which made me smile.
Remember the fuss made by Davis Cameron about the impending election of Mr Junker to the presidency of the EC?
To no avail, he got elected without any problem.
Now Mr Junker is quoted as saying he has no problem with seeing a separated Scotland continuing as a full member of the EC.
Hoots, mon! Bye-bye Dave!
We have been here again ...
... last Friday. And due to the Lower Saxony State Exhibition
"Hannover's Rulers on the English Throne 1714-1837", you get lots of useful gifts in the museum shop
@Walter Hinteler,
Hi Walter
Wee Eck is quite willing to keep Her Madge on as head of state.
Do you think this is a good idea?
Her holiday home is here.
And her Greek husband's city, of course.
@McTag,
(Who is known in Glasgow as the Chookyembra.)

Philip Mountbatten (aka Duke of Edinburgh aka Philip of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg)
@Walter Hinteler,
Heike's grandmother was quite pally with Princess Alice of Greece, in her later years, which were spent near Koeln. They used to go on walks together. Or meet during walks, I'm not sure which.
I wonder if The Scotsman printed my letter a few weeks ago which said-
"If Scotland votes for independence, will all the Scottish immigrants living in England go back there?"
@Romeo Fabulini,
Every time there is an interview on TV with someone living in the highlands or islands, it seems they have an English accent.
We love it when people want to migrate north. It's a kind of vote for quality.
Yeah a few dozen englishmen might have emigrated to Scotland.
An englishman goes to live in a remote scottish croft and the first evening there's a knock at the door.
He opens it and there's a big hairy jock standing there in kilt, sporran, tam o' shanter with a set of bagpipes under his arm.
"Och aye the noo laddie, I'd like tae invite ye to a party at my croft doon the glen, there'll be lots of singing, dancing, drinking and wild wild sex"
"Thanks very much" replies the englishman putting on his coat, "how many people will be there?"
"Just the two of us laddie" replies the scotsman..
