I was referred to her by my cousin's hair stylist in Houston and have seen pictures on the salon's website.
ehBeth, how are going from a Ruby Red to Butternut? Do you have to strip the existing color out first?

Im thinking one big chunk , off to the side, bright purple maybe? Or a deep color?
What BRAND works best ? Not taking her to a shop, paying 40+ for a little streak of color. Not doin it. no way.

oh --- let me ask K. She had the most gorgeous purple chevrons at the bottom of her long, otherwise black, hair a few years ago.
She did it herself.

I saw something cute on a little girl.
Her mom had pulled her hair through a frosting hat. bleached out the strands and tinted them multiple colors. Looked unique.
The color turned out pretty nice. Covering up all of the grey still seems to be a big challenge for every colorist I go to, tho. But with the lighter color overall, the grey isn't as noticeable.
