lesser of two evils, right? Page-leif? Can't figure out transition in logic...Hmmm, as one man? Damn. Nothing makes sense in that section.

Haven't figured 95 down, either. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

You got them Letty. "Lesser"and "as one man" are correct. And so is "leaf" for page. What letters do you have for "mortal"?

Erte is the artist. He pops up all the time in the puzzles, usually as Father of Art Deco". Smile

Mortal is "deadly". and 119 across is an abbreviation of the city and state.

Very Happy It was the maiden ants that got me. I knew about maiden aunts, but "maiden ants"? We don't have them in the city, I guess.

Very Happy No, Raggedy, but they march in tandem through my kitchen. They even cross the red sea of crumbs and stuff. Really, the "ants" part is a reference to those critters, I think.
