Raggedy, If you want to understand the theme Love Connection, look at 41 across. It explains the whole thing. Not one of the better puzzles or themes.

Hi Letty: Do you mean 112 or 121 across?112 across is Nixon's daughter. 15 down is an "Eros" word. As is 112 across. Do you want me to tell you what 15 down is, or try to figure it out? "Eros" will be in 7 of the answers, if I counted correctly.

Raggedy, I already figured out the "eros" bit. I just don't KNOW 15 down, and I certainly never heard of 121 across. Actually, I don't know how to spell Trishia Nixon..<smile>

Well I've played tennis, but know nothing about chess, so I guess that will pass as a good enough excuse for my not knowing 121: Zerosumgames (LOL)

15 down: Senaterosters. I think that was a really sneaky one.

Raggedy, I had 112 down spelled tsar. I never heard of the spelling as tzar. Either Czar or Tsar. grrrrrrrrr. and I had 28 across as Louise.

Yep. It just takes a couple wrong letters. I cheated on 28 across and on 31 across and .......... Laughing

I cheated all over the place. lol. I think the zerosum thing has to do with love in tennis and stale mate in chess. That's one reason that I didn't like this puzzle. It was too full of stuff that had to be looked up. Imagine my having put Vassar for 31 across. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Aaah, but look at all the knowledge we're acquiring. (lol) Dr. Ruth did me in. "Diminutive advice-giver", indeed. That's really stretching it.

Hi Roberta. I had to set that puzzle aside (after spending an hour trying to figure out "Man refuses to supply photo on internet dating service") and come back to it when I was in a less frustrated frame of mind. (lol) But, I finished it.

Good luck, Letty.

Raggedy, Don't know why, but I thought you were a week behind. As long as you finished it, how about a hint for 72A. I'm drawing a blank.

"You will be missed" theme. What is 6 down(six letters) clue: not so great.

84 down, (eight letters) in unison. Having trouble with the small ones again.

I didn't like 6 down Letty. It is the ____of two evils.

84 down is three words. Not two males, but __ ___ ___.

And if that's confusing,as I'm sure it is, just say the word and I'll give you the answers . Smile

(I'm having difficulty posting here today. Very slow.)
