@edgarblythe,
Since realjohnboy computes averages, it is actually better for you -- assuming
you would have picked Broncos.

@edgarblythe,
I was actually speaking about Ragman.

Not that I discount your chances.

@George,
Thanks for the reply. I guess it's better that I missed the deadline. Because of all of my travel and changes in life/lifestyle, my following of the NFL games this season is the least in decades. Barely even watched a game - even of Pats. However, I'll still get my picks in in a timely manner. Including this week's.

Last night's game is an eye-opener. I really like QB Rivers and wonder what those Broncos will morph into. Head scratching time for both teams as far as predictability goes. Don't see my ability to make good selections improving much.

WEEK #6 PICK CHECK
The consensus index inched up a tiny bit this week to 83.21. There are four games where we are unanimous and two where the split is 17-1. Balancing that are two matches that are tossups (10-8), one where the divide is 11-7 and one that is 12-6.
Johnboy plays nice, agreeing with the majority on every game. Three of us differ on just one. Miz Cowdoc (aka The Oracle of Salmon) is off on two, one of which was her masterful choice of San Diego over Denver.
Edgar and Skeeter are out step on five matches.

Tico has turned up missing at the time of this writing. His last post was on October 4th. I hope he is okay.

@realjohnboy,
Much against my better judgment, I am making one change . please change my selections to Houston over Indy.

@Ragman,
That's a tough game for me to call. Almost rock paper scissors.

Oops. Been busy. Missed the deadline for the early games. Should have a negligible effect on my overall place in the standings. Remaining games.

@edgarblythe,
My sole reasoning is how good Clowney looked in the last game - FINALLY!

Of course, that's not sound reasoning because of how Houston T's is/are often hell-bent on handing games over in the last minutes but perhaps against Indy they're in an even 50-50 match...who knows? Gotta see that game if it's on a free-watch TV channel.

Speaking of which, re Unpredictable trends. Saints are manhandling Carolina. At the half, though Saints defense has been shaken so in a quarter that 21-3 score can be erased.

@Ragman,
What puzzles me with Houston, Brock only started a few games with Denver and was benched. Houston goes after him like he's Brady, giving him big bucks. What was the reasoning?

@edgarblythe,
Perhaps it was for moments like tonight? He was money when it counted. Let's see if he and his teammates have more of this sort of fame.

I can't believe I made the switch to the Texans and it panned out!

ROOT, ROOT, ROOT FOR THE HOME TEAM...
The home team won 11 of the 14 games so far and the Cardinals will be hosting the Jets tonight. We are unanimous in picking Arizona.
