I was working on replacing the Glow Plugs on a 1980 Ford F150, Has the international V8. I know what a fuel heater, and block heater look like, but never have I seen this. When replacing the glow plug mod. and checking wires, I traced the wires back to a box, that has a plug on it that go's to a wall outlet. From this box one wire go's to the Batt, and 2 go to the starter switch. Then there is a plug that go's to the the Glow plug Mod. When I call ford to ask what it was they didn't even know. And it doesn't show up in any repair manual . When I plug it it in, it does charge the Batt, and cycles the glow plug light on dash. Has anyone else seen this?

@Rgordy,
nope, looks improvised.

The block heater will have an immersion heater, a transformer and connected through a 3 prong plug. Im pretty sure that All ford diesels have the plug somehere in the bumper area, (right side facing the truck).
At least thats how mine are (Ive got 3 diesels)
