IPL importing from China

Been reading EU directives regarding importing and selling Intence Pulsed Machines, I want to import IPL machines from a supplier in Beijing, I will then sell it to salons and other customers.
Am I right in assuming that all relevant CE compliance and the technical file falls on my shoulder has the importer of good from outside the EU.
