Licensed with a Conviction?

I've considered steering my logistics career into Customs Brokerage specifically. I've googled and read up on licensing where felony convictions are concerned, as I have a 38yr old conviction.
I also read the passage on CBP application about good moral character. And i'm aware of the background investigations by the various agencies.

if its possible to pass their background check and be licensed, I may peruse licensing. if this is simply a wink and a nod to EOE guidelines, and they never approve people with felony convictions, I will move on.

thanks for taking your time to answer this

Brad

@bradg11,

Quote:

Q: What does the background investigation include?
A: Each broker license applicant must undergo a background investigation that includes a fingerprint analysis and a review of character references, credit reports, and any arrest record. Arrests or convictions do not necessarily preclude the issuance of a license.
