Help Identifying Oil Painting / Artist "CPA" 1886 "Minnesota Winter"

Hi,

I'm hoping someone might provide some insight into this painting purchased by uncle. The only identifying marking on the painting is a small 1886 in the lower right-hand corner. The back of the frame says "Winter in Minnesota" "C.P.A" 86'. It's quite a lovely painting but I can't seem to find any info using my normal Google sleuthing routine. Any leads would be much appreciated! Thanks!
