@SarahWalker,
At this point I'd likely call the gastroenterologist's office in your town and explain further. I'd include how many days this situation has been going on.

@ossobuco,
We did, and the waiting time is like a month for a consultation type thing because they're full, specialists are hard to see, especially a gastroenterologist I hope it doesn't cost a whole lot either.

@oralloy,
We're on a waiting list to see a gastroenterologist, it's going to be about a month though.

The doctors yesterday said they can't check anything because she already had an x-ray not too long ago so they won't do it. There's not a whole lot we can do but wait and hope it gets better.

@SarahWalker,
You can get the xray and radiology report from the original source and take them with you to the new provider. Don't let them tell you that you can't have them. You have a right to them, at least in the U.S. you do.

@Butrflynet,
They're saying they can't because the x-ray down there was too recent, since it's high radiation they want her to wait a month.

I think if we were to ask for it they'd say no, but they have no problem giving out prescriptions to anything you ask for, its because x-rays and MRI's cost them money.

On the bright side her pain seems to have gone down quite a bit.

@SarahWalker,
I'm not saying to repeat the xray, I'm saying get a copy of it on film or disk.

There should also be a written radiology report you can get a copy of.

You won't know until you ask for it. Don't assume.

@Butrflynet,
I might be able get it but what would we do with it? The x-ray was from when she stared getting abdominal pain which turned out to be the uti but also turned into constipation from the antibiotics.

It wouldn't be wise to get another x-ray so close to the other one anyways, right?

I 'm glad that I tried the Miralax. It was very gentle
and inoffensive.
