Hi everyone, I would very much appreciate any help or comments identifying an oil painting I own. The subjcct matter is a blaze of a building as seen from the banks of a river, it measures 38cm x 37cm. I cannot make out any signature. I had it professionally cleaned as the varnish had yellowed and thus recuperated the amazing colours. I would apreciate any help.

@rastrodude,
My first impression is it seems to be an amateur work of limited value. I hope the cleaning wasn't more than several hundred dollars and that there was a decent frame. I like the color and the water, the top left is out of balance with the rest of the painting.

@bobsal u1553115,
I see two photos of different parts of the painting. Maybe I'm not paying attention.

@ossobuco,
Two pictures of the front and one of te back. I think the lack of anything on thback is telling. This is a "decoration" and an amateurish one.

@bobsal u1553115,
It was all small to me, but I'll agree.

I'm not against amateur painting as such.
