This link should connect to a photo taken in the conference room at the British Consul General's residence in New York City. I'm wondering if anyone can identify the oil painting hanging in the background. Interested in the identify of both the subject and artist.

He is King Charles the Second's younger brother, The Duke of York, after whom New York was named.

He eventually became King James II, after his brother Charles II died without offspring.
