Is the semicolon usage in this sentence correct? Or, should I use a comma?

@bobosdad,
Yes the Semicolon usage in the sentence is correct and it's as per the rule and
the rule for using Semicolon is :- It is used to link two independent clauses with closely related themes. Here in the sentence there no need to use comma.

@bobosdad,
No, it is not correct--the locutions "are not only" and "they're also" makes the sentence into a single clause. A comma should be used where the semicolon is placed in that sentence. Ignore the first response--i strongly suspect that the respondent is not a native speaker of English. Neither the first portion of the sentence before the incorrectly placed semicolon is an independent clause, nor is the second portion after that semicolon an independent clause.
Firouzalam is definitely not a native speaker of English.
