Yeah, kind of. That is, what they are saying about the swine flu outbreak in the 70's is true. As for what's under development now, it seems unknowable at this time. Now, the old vaccine was done as a crash program, and I knew one doctor who suggested we avoid it.

As it is looking right now, the new version of the disease is becoming so widespread that a significant part of the population may develope an immunity after a mild case of the flu. Anyway, that is my hope. I also hope we've learned something from the past experience.
