When driving , the car seems like it loses all power as if it turned off. But it doesnt, and the car is not hot, so I know that it did not overheat. My husband says it could be from a leak in the heater core, can this be? Or can it be from a car stereo hooked up with amps and a speaker box draining power from the car? Please help

Thank you

not the heater...

stereo could be if you are exceeding the amperage output of the alternator.
