Can you hard-boil eggs in the microwave? If so, how would get best results?

Thanks Smile

Well, I can tell you how to get messiest results...

In 1991 I had my first contact with a microwave and one day put an egg into it...
Of course it exploded.
I did that a few more times, simply because I thought it was fascinating and wanted to watch it...

Laughing

By the way, fresh mushrooms in the microwave start sparking...

Sure you can..........................if you like the walls of your microwave to be covered with pieces of egg. They make a dandy sound when they explode!

Also, you can get a similar effect by baking potatoes in the microwave without piercing them first!

If you set the eggs in a dish of water, and then set the microwave to boil the water, wouldn't the eggs harden ( just keep them in boiling water, long enough).

If you put eggs in water and microwave the whole thing the eggs are gonna explode in hot water, fry the microwave, and send scalding water everywhere. Not a good thing.
