Don't be fooled by my name. I am a young man, not a woman. Josie stands for Josiah. Isn't that an awesome name?

I am too young to know anything but too old to accept it. Therefore, I'm fairly certain I've got it all figured out. I am right about everything. Just come ask me; I'll set you straight.

I am just about to graduate High School and am not sure I'm ready to move on. I am the beautiful combination of a gifted student and a slacker, producing anything from distinguished honors one marking period to failing another. I have a passion for writing, and am planning on pursuing a career in publishing. For now, it looks like I'll be attending Pittsburgh University next fall.

I hate science. Science classes are worthless information-dumps. So much to learn, so little application. I'll except physics here; I loved physics and found it very practical. I can tolerate Math until it starts to become ridiculous. I have no use for Calculus (maybe that would be different if my school offered Physics II?). I love English class. There is nothing more pleasing than the sound of a rhythmic, elegantly written thought. I love foreign languages, but I'm far too lazy to take more than one. I'm studying German.

I enjoy theatre. I have been in every production the school has put on, most recently performing as Mr. Darcy in a stage adaption of Pride and Prejudice. Theatre is a wondrous thing: it takes confidence in yourself, empathy for the characters, intelligence for the subtleties of performance, combined with the good fortune of having a strong voice and good looks. Every attribute you have must come to bear.

I love myself. I am very self-confident, and not just in a typical teenage fashion. I don't consider myself a narcissist, however. I may love myself, but I love other people just as much. I approach people in a sarcastic, but entirely playful, never cynical, way. Most people I know roll their eyes at how I throw caution to the wind and act on instinct. I think they just don't know how to live.
