I don't like lawsuits. Sometimes I feel it is right to sue the company if the company knew that the contents of that food could kill pets but allowed it to be sold that way.

Off topic - but I am glad as hell that the maker of Greenies are getting sued. They were notified of the problem with the treat killing dogs but
still refused to take those treats off the shelf and they also did not admit any wrong doing.

I hear your argument.. but in this situation..

Really..

How could a dog food company REALLY think it is ok to add diseased cows to their products?
Cows that died of tumors are ground up into dog and cat food..

Some common sense should come into play some where ya know?

And for that reason, I think they should be sued.

I mean, no one would knowingly feed their animal a dead diseased animal. An animal who died of a common illness, or malnutrition. So why should it be ok for dog food companies to bag their products, call them 'natural' and sell it to us?

( sorry, Im not throwing those questions at you for an answer, Im just questioning the companies in general. I think they are sleaze bags frankly)

Do you remember (way back) the auto company that knew their car
had a defect that could kill people? That was the company who did the math and decided it was cheaper to pay out in lawsuits where people were killed or injured rather than recall the car. That made me sick.

Yes, these companies should feel a monetary loss for having threatened
the lives of millions of family pets. There is no reason to put out inferior
and contaminated food products just because the end user cannot speak.

We have to trust the manufacturer that the dog/cat food they sell
is nutritious and healthy for our pets.

If they decide that their profit margin is more important to them than
the welfare of their customers, then they rightfully so should have a huge
cut into their profit to teach them a (hopefully) valuable lesson
for the future.

I only agree with suing the company if they knowingly put out a product that can or
will kill/injure either animals or people. I also agree with lawsuits if a company neglects
to follow mandated laws regarding their product.

Regarding the first post, pet food recall and class action lawsuit, I don't agree to suing the companies if they
didn't know the ingredient they used was contaminated and most likely would or should not have known.
