My mp3 player has a voice recorder and saves the message in wav format. I recorded a message and uploaded it to my computer and Yahoo Geocities so that I could have a url. When I play the wav from my computer it plays thru Windows Media Player when I click on the link at Yahoo GeoCities it plays thru Quick Time. Is there a way to make Windows Media Player the only player? Thanks for any help!
Why would you want that? There is a consensus among nerds that windows media player is ****.
I would warmly recommended VLC media player.

When it plays thru Quick Time it starts out scratchy. When it plays thru Windows Media Player it is very clear!
Well, I would try VLC player, it's free. Just google VLC media player and download it. If the quality is poorer that wmp than you can worry about that than.

I just deleted Quick Time from my computer wmp plays everything now!
I've tried VLC. Personally, I think it's crap. I use WMP for most everything. You can change the player used in most player setups. It has to do with file associations in your registry. You can change those pretty simply.
For music, I may agree. But if you play video, it's the only way to go.
