@Dutchy,
The other day somebody gave me a container of something called 'tofu.' So I tried it with my breakfast this morning.

Are you going to tell me that there are people who actually go out and buy this stuff and then gladly consume it? Why? It is completely and totally tasteless.

@Lustig Andrei,
hot and sour soup

(which had some tofu in it)

I can't imagine just eating tofu straight up.

@ehBeth,
I can't imagine any reason for eating tofu at all. A dollop of good dairy sour cream would do well in that soup, I imagine.

@Lustig Andrei,
nope

sour cream would definitely not work in a hot and sour soup

some of my favourite dishes have tofu as a flavour carrier but it's a rare person (IMNSHO) who can eat it straight

@ehBeth,
Leftover roast chicken leg, with murmurs of some asian sauce concoction that was thawed for this round of chicken roasting. Recipe somewhere in files (too many chicken recipes, as it happens), but tasty.

@ossobuco,
A sprig of spearmint to dissolve a tincture of talapia (undercooked) and free up the tongue and refurbish the palate.

@Lustig Andrei,
Do you recall in the olden days someone initiated a thread on Nutella? The thread quickly became a long string of ribald invective. I sat that one out.

@Lustig Andrei,
Lusty (merry), I beg to differ. My favorite tofu was some firm (xtra firm?), goodly chunks, with lap cheong in the center - crisp fried, all that crisp woked and rested in a soup. I think you need to do some tofu adventure. Even dys admitted to me he didn't hate it.

@Debacle,
I remember there was such a thread, but it probably happened when I wasn't there. I wasn't at abuzz all that long, started when I bought a computer in '2000. The abuzz site was the first I explored, godhelpme. And later I lost contact, some damn thing about cookies. This has left me with years of stories by others about Nutella.
