@BillW,
BTW, a lot of pain killers will make you have headaches (sometimes the lesser evil).
@Dutchy,
I do that too, Dutchy.
I need to buy more almonds.
@ossobuco,
2 chocolate chip cookies (damnit)
@vonny,
A small handful of Reese's pieces ... meh.
@tsarstepan,
small is nice, big is devilly
@tsarstepan,
I had to google Reese's Pieces - they sound a bit like our Smarties -
@vonny,
M&M's with peanut butter inside chocolate
@vonny,
They're usually my second favorite movie candy, next to Raisinettes. Our Smarties are fruit flavored chalkesque candy tablets.
@tsarstepan,
I think M&M's are the closest thing to our Smarties - I used to like the green ones when I was a kid!

at least it isn't vegemite
I saw Marmite at the World Market when Diane and I went there. Passed it by, but sometime I may try it, just for the hell of it. I suppose like many things in jars, it's full of baddies.
Today I made a sandwich from ordinary store whole wheat bread, some salami, some mayo (last of the homemade), and some provolone. Had to stop eating it, hated the bread. I've been making my own bread for a couple of years now. The good part of that is I've gotten better at it. It's also a chore, so I eat less bread than I used to, thus my sylph like figure, heh. The bad part is when I run out of bread, I'm . . . out of bread and have to get baking. Some stores do carry delicious artisan type breads, but none near me, and in any case, they're expensive compared to baking my own.
So I lapsed and bought ordinary bread, yucko.
Signed,
Ms. Picky
@ossobuco,
Marmite is made from yeast extract and is a by-product of beer brewing - it contains folic acid (Vitamin B9) and several other vitamins. It's too salty for my taste - I much prefer Bovril!
@ossobuco,
Been thinking about it ... not really very nice. I wouldn't recommend it. Whereas Bovril ... on a cold night it's rather warming to have a steaming cup of Bovril - or Oxo!
