@tsarstepan,
Do you have a wok? I'm so mad at myself that I tossed, first my good real wok (ruined by someone I leant it to) and then one from Costco that failed to make my moving criteria re the importance/weigh+size ratio.

Wokless in Albuquerque..

I just had two of those with a horseradish dip.

As usual, I don't know when I've got enough horseradish.

The back of my head blew off.

@ossobuco,
Pickles are one of my favorite things to eat...I like the real sour ones you get at diner's...

You can find brands that come like the deli style ones do...I do not remember any brands off the top of my head...But I remember, one, has a black, plastic, lid on its jars...

Ha Ha Ha...Look at this! One sour pickle!, anthropomorphic spice!...

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
and then there's wasabi mayo - not as strong as the straight stuff, but nice on sandwiches.

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
I don't like them, if you visit the UK, be careful asking for pickle because you'll probably get a spoonful of this.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AfdGkARaido/TuXpeZuGJLI/AAAAAAAAB_Y/2ZqpMA5BQi0/s1600/branstonpickle+and+cheese.jpg

It's great in a sandwich with cheese. Unless you're in a speciality shop you're not likely to get any of what you call pickles, closest thing is pickled gherkins.

'They're long and green,
And look obscene,
And they never stop you burpin',
But I must confess,
There's nothing I like best,
Than a beautiful pickled gherkin.'

I made these refrigerator cucumber pickles recently - tasty and easy.

http://www.diynatural.com/how-to-pickle-cucumbers/

I've gotten into all the refrigerator pickling since it's an easy way to not just let veggies sit in the refrigerator getting forgotten.

Branston pickle is diced pickled mixed veg. That's pickle.

I do think of Branston as being closer to a chutney than a traditional North American pickle - but chutney is pickled veg so it's a bit of a circular argument.
