I succeeded in looking up spekulatius - cookies - but not Builder's reference to 'chats'. . .

meantime, I just ate a sardine (w/hot sauce) and mashed potato/egg/bread crumbs fishcake, w/dip of spicy pickle relish mayo.

Julie and I went to the St. Lawrence Market. Thought of you when we went upstairs - recalled I'd promised you a peameal on a kaiser if you ever made it to Tranna - I wonder if they serve it sans kaiser. Need to investigate.

the liver at this little Hungarian place is amazing - not the big slabs of nastiness you see in some places - almost pate-like - mmmmmm

the smell of it cooking makes me gag. it became troublesome at the cafe. I had to serve it without making a pukey face...
