i know , i know !
i offer you my sympathy !
i actually had a funny experience about three years ago - at least it's funny NOW - it wasn't then !
i was given barium to "probe the workings of my inner systems" , followed by a colonoscopy.
while everything seemed to be o.k. , i -foolishly - asked for a follow-up interview to ask some questions about my digestive system .
the interview came up about three months later (we had gone on vacation in the meantime) .
when i arrived at the G.I. clinic i was given the full set of preliminaries by a nurse-practioner : weight , height , B.P. ... i thought it was routine .
in walked the former head of the department ; he was now semi-retired and worked part-time in the clinic . a very nice older physician .
he opened the folder and finding a single sheet of paper said camly :
"the first thing WE (!) will have to do , is get a complete set of X-rays and do a colonoscopy ! " .
i almost shrieked ! "i had all that done about three months ago " , i explained .
he camly replied : "you must be mistaken , there is nothing on file for you " .
i was finally able to convince him that indeed it had all been done .
he left and came back about 15 minutes later and said : "i'm sorry , but your results had not yet been filed ! " .
RELIEF ! RELIEF !
we had a nice chat and i left the clinic whistling happily  !
wishing you good luck !!!
