I'm trying to transfer my VHS tapes onto my PC (making an MP3) and I'm not getting any sound. I've tried all the settings... its most likely a hardware problem, but I'm sick of dealing with it... Does anyone have any suggestions?
What is the name of that appliance that records VHS onto DVD without using a PC. Looks like a VCR type thing... anyone know?
There are decks available with VHS player and a DVD writer in the one unit so it's easy to do.
Using the computer is a fairly drawn out process. What sort of video capture card are you using to put it into your machine ?
Well what are those machines called? I'm trying to find one on the net, but its hard when I don't know what to search for.
I am using the Dazzle thing you plug things into, then plug the dazzle thing is plugged into a USB port.
This might seem a bit obtuse but are you sure you have all the connectors connected ?
I'm having a look for the VHS/DVD decks now.
Use a program that will show the wiggling sound wave thingie as it's being recorded. That way you'll know if the computer is hearing the sound or not. You want to go to MP3s? Me's being obtuse here too, but did you try connecting to the line in jack on your sound card?
Can't find the thing I'm looking for.
This might help though :
