Up in the stratosphere
Tell us what you see on earth,
Tell us what you hear.
Do you hold your small white dog
That you named Guinevere,
Or is the babe that minutes lived
Smiling at your fear.
Jejune now our souls do lie
But moist that crystal tear.
Change the one line to smiling at your rear and I think you will have a winner.

I wrote a response to you poem Ms letty but I could not send it.
Thanks, Gus, for not allowing me to be too serious. Here's that smile again. <

dys, silence is one powerful comment. Thank you, honey.
dys, "...One whose name is writ with me in sour misfortune's book...."
Gus, please do NOT mess around with Willie the Shake, ok? <smile>
Yes . . .
Most poignant.
Thank you for letting us read it, letty.
edgar, I appreciate your positive comment, Texas. I, myself, was surprised to find out that there really is a Willie the Shake.
