Weird "Watermark" in IE Standard Button Bar

There is this weird, digital looking watermark that has shown up on my IE button bar. It starts just to the right of "Help"and the icons below, trailing to the right. It looks like a visual representation of data - that is why I called it a "digital watermark". It is barely visible, but it is clearly there and not a monitor problem.

I have active anti-virus and anti-spyware, plus I run Ad-Aware and Spybot regularly. Nothing. WTH?

OK geeks, I figured this out, but I still don't know how it got changed. It's harmless - and you can play with it yourself for fun.

Run "regedit" from the Start-Run menu. Then, go to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Internet Explorer > Toolbar

Right click on "Toolbar" in the left pane and add a new string value. The string name needs to be "BackBitMap" and it's value should be a full path to a bitmap of your choice. Then stop and restart IE. Try it, it's kinda cool.
