I read the first... um, 3 entries or so, so all I know is that someone named "metal" bands.

About all that is left is:

Pantera
Black Label Society
-----------------------------
You know Alice in Chains really could pass out as one, but they've already been grouped as Grunge.

NNY ~ I enjoy Pantera. Have never heard of Black Label Society.

Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden ~ I was listening to all three bands in 1987, before the rest of the world knew about them.

Man, I'm old. Crying or Very sad

Black Label Society is Zakk Wyldes' band. He is and has been Ozzy's guitarist. He's damn good.

I just bought my grandson a dimebag darrell Washburn for his birthday. He's going to ****.

Not quite sure how to take that, BP. Never heard of Darrell Washburn ~ thanks for the info on Zakk Wyldes. I'm not an Ozzy fan. Much to the distress of my 14 year old son.

But, I'm goin to sleep and I don't want to worry about anything.....The last 24 hours have been extremely stressful. Evil or Very Mad

Zakk Wylde is extremely well rounded, from Pride and Glory, which is Southern Rock, to Blessed Hellride, which is acoustic, and THE BLS, which is metal at it's best.

I think they're that good. Considering I saw them live after only two weeks of listening to their music (the concert was a birthday gift from a friend who held out hope that I would enjoy heavy metal).

I killed my voice during that concert.....Couldn't speak for two days, much to the liking of some folks.

Yep, they're awesome. Especially live. Metallica performs for their fans because they wouldn't be Metallica without them.

Please let us know what you think of the concert!

Metallica doesn't move on stage enough. Pantera, that's a great show, though they aren't actually touring now.

I wouldn't put Alice in Chains in the "metal" category. I wouldn't put them in the "grunge" category either. Dare I say "alternative"? whatever that means.

The word Strat shouldn't be mentioned in the same breathe as metal.
