If you're a fan, as I am, and haven't seen the new St. Anger video, above is the link. (I had the best results with the Windows High option.)
When the song first came out, it annoyed me. Now I play it loud!
The video is pretty cool. Enjoy!
Rae, I didn't know you were into metal music. cor strewth girl, you got a Harley parked up at home ?
I never got into Metallica, but Iron Maiden, Deep purple, Black Sabbeth, Guns & Roses and the mother of all bands Led Zeppelin are my favorits. I bet you upset the neighbors when you play air guitar.
I drive downtown and wind it up to 11 and powwwwwwwwwwwwww
Yep, I'm a metalhead, oak. But my cd collection is mostly alternative metal ~ Metallica is about the tamest of the bunch. No Harley parked out front, but I was a Harley-babe wannabe in my younger years!
cobalt ~ the link comes directly from Metallica's homepage. Your son (who has great taste, by the way!) has probably already seen it!
My band started rehearsals today for our show next weekend...man it was good to be playing loud heavy rock again...I feel 20 again!!!
With the recent loss of my job, I'm not going to be able to make that trip, bp. You absolutely have to find a way for someone to record the show.....transfer it to cd.....and then let us all view it!
grumble grumble
dial up...it just aint gonna work
sniff
and with the concert just past...Im doing a heck of a lot of grumbling lately (like being out of work aint enough to grumble at, add to that 75.00 pricetag for tickets...argh...Im with ya gal)
thanks for the link though, someday maybe I can use it
I feel for ya, quinn. If you have a dvd player, I'd be happy to copy the file for you and send it.....Although you may have a quicker chance of catching the video on MTV.
Like I watch MTV for the videos anymore
I could give it a shot though...would it be worth it?
I think the St. Anger video is worth it. I never have MTV on anymore, unless my son is visiting. It's turned into too much of a 'reality' station than one dedicated to playing videos.
In any case, I've no idea what MTV's programming is like anymore, but maybe you could look into when they show metal videos. Hopefully, they still have those type of segments.
You know what's really geeky? Air keyboards...dang kids blasting their ELP and dancing around like Nosferatu...
Can you do any air Neal Peart Rae?
Nope, he's way beyond even my air drumming abilities!
Musicvideos.com carries the latest videos from most moderately famous bands/groups/singers. They have a certain amount of older classic music videos too. For Mettalica, they've got
over 30 music videos from 1983 onward, with both a live performance and the official video for St. Anger. Pretty good quality is available with a high-speed connection. It'll prolly require a yahoo login before you can play any videos. Enjoy, Rae!
Rae! I can't wait to go to the big SARS relief concert at the end of the month, headlined by the Stones, and including AC/DC, Rush (RUSH!) and The Guess Who. How Justin Timberlake got on the bill I shall never know, but I can guarentee he will be the water bottle target of the night. Big Metallica fan here, but not much since And Justice for All...gotta go, can elaborate later, lol.
Anyone have the new Metallica cd? I'm still listening to it, getting used to it. Like some of it, some of it not as much.
Just saw them in concert with Mudvayne, Deftones, Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit. They put on a great show, awesome pyrotechnics for the song "One."
Fun watching kids jump the fence to rush into the crowd towards the stage and getting tackled by security. Lotta dildos were there, too.
Dildos: tools, chumps, jackasses.
