did you put them on your desktop?
I load stuff on to photobucket all the time that doesn't have jpg or gif at the end. I put them on photobucket to get that....

you can always open your pictures in your favorite picture viewing program and click on Save As... I'm sure there's an .jpg option. what are you using?
