At the end, flies probably can't think more than looking for food to survive.

The whole thread assumes that flies can have thoughts as planning a trip to the park next Sunday.

The life expectancy of flies might not be enough to learn perception of the internal and external stimuli in order to connect the sensation into an ordered comprehension with their existence.
