And someone he'd probably have preferred to've met and didn't...

J - Hoping this helps you, Amy and Tony know a little more about some of the crazy people Timber interacted with here. Why he chose to do so may always be a puzzle, but we are so glad did.

Over on a thread called "Official A2K Gathering in Chicago, May 7th, 2006" are some photos of a few of others of us. Perhaps someone smarter than me could move those here. Thank you.
It is an incomplete portfolio. There were other pictures but I can't find them.

Hello Amy and Tony.
Thank you for showing us a more private side of Timber.
We all miss him.

Oh I see Smile Let me guess...W.A.S.P?!

What the heck are you talking about? Where I work? What I am? (If the latter, most emphatically NO.)

I was puzzling over why you took offense to that until I checked the top Google hit. I was thinking of a different acronym, the Women's Air Force Service Pilots which were the first women to fly airplanes (WW2). Your avatar of feminine power is associated with them. Of course you could take offense to that, too, because you'd have to be 80 yrs+ to be a wasp, and assuming you've had your photograph taken at least once in the last 70 yrs, that wouldn't be possible.

I posted a bunch of them there (from the gathering that Timber had to cancel at the last minute when his horse died), starting here
Moving pics is easy, RJB. You did it on the other thread just now. If you were to hit the quote button there (as you did) and then just copy ALL of the quoted text and paste it into a new post it would work the same way. To just swipe a picture from there (or most anywhere); do this:
1. Right click the pic you wish to swipe.
2. Click Properties at the bottom of the window that pops up.
3. Highlight the entire address where it says "Address"… Right click again and hit "Copy".
4. Right click and hit Paste in your reply where you want the picture to be.
5. Manually type at the end.
6. That's it; you've now swiped a picture and it should post fine.
To post the picture of you that I put in that thread; it should look like this when you're done:
Code:

Here is the result:

I only now saw this thread and am deeply saddened and at a loss for words. Timber and I never seemed to agree on much, but I respected the intelligence and thought process of the man. He was a computer genius who was always the first to offer a helping hand to anybody.

Politics and religion aside...Timber was one of my favourite personalities on A2K and I will miss his interaction greatly.

One thing that Timber and I did agree on totally was our love of dogs. I am glad that he is there for Sam and Sam for him.

Chumly, NOT what I expected!
What did you expect, older / younger / handsomer / uglier / happier / sadder / introspective-er / outgoing-er? I have lots of photos as I'm a weekend musician, so I picked a fairly recent one.

With Tiber, I was surprised that he looked like he had a still in the back 40, but then, I don't read much US political threads, as the two party system does not make much sense to me.

I remember when Timber apologized for not making it to the Chicago gathering. Timber and Sam would have been great guests at that party.
