I don't know about polar bears but the unicorn population of Beautiful City (under my bed) is simply out of control! They're everywhere! I don't know what to do.
Should I open Beautiful City to hunters?

Sweep up the dust bunnies, and destroy their habitat--they'll die off.

I think he should make a personal census--in person, above the Arctic Circle, leaving now.

My heart bleeds for the bear....but why is every hand turned against the sweet harmless bunny?

Noddy, wait up. Ill paint the numbers on the side of each bear so we dont double count. Im figuring that theres some skullduggery goin on and I wanna get to the bottom of it.
Hey rabbit, where were you when the dodos went out?

Much easier to just count their paws and divide by 4.

Multiplying beyond our wildest dreams, Baldrick. Dancing a dizzying fandango on the skeletons of the dying dodos, darling.
Toujours gai, Baldy, toujours gai.

I've always had a fellow feeling for polar bears, ever since I read that experienced mother polar bears wait until the cubs are napping before they settle down at a hole in the ice to wait very quietly for a seal to come up for air.
I can imagine waiting for fifty minutes, seeing a seal surface and having a cub splash and frighten dinner away.

Ive just seen some respected data from the Craighead 's organization that stated that, worldwide, polar bears have declined 20% since 1985.
