Biggest Political/Military Problem of Next 30 Years

This probably has not occurred to many people.

The biggest problem in the world in the next 30 years is going to be what exactly Indians plan to do when the Chinese come to kidnap 60,000,000 of their women.

That would be the 60M women missing due to the one-child law of course. The only other place they would even find 60M women within marching distance would be Russia, and that would be nearly the entire female population of Russia, and Russia still has nuclear weapons, i.e. they'd never stand for it. Anything else would involve crossing the Carpathian mountains, which Europeans could probably hold.

Why do you think it would be the Chinese kidnapping Indian women? India has its own problems with sex disparity.

Gunga Din is always good for a laugh, though. He thinks there are not as many as 60,000,000 women in Russia. Pathetic . . .

According to the CIA World Factbook, the total population of Russia (July, 2006 estimate) is 142,893,540; of which, 76,679,877 are female. Gunga's bullshit, as usual, founders immediately upon a casual review.

Although, one does wonder about the gender disparity in China. Didn't any of those people want grandchildren?

Sure. One or two of them, not 20 or 30.

Once again, According to the CIA World Factbook, the population of China, as of a July, 2006 estimate, was 1,313,973,713. The ratio of males to females is 1.06 to 1. In a population of 1.4 billion (for ease of calculation), that means the discrepancy as of July, 2006, was less than 40,000,000--nowhere near Gunga's 60,000,000. Furthermore, the same page reveals that the discrepancy in the 15-64 years age group--the reproductive age group--was less than 30,000,000 in 2006. Gunga really doesn't do math well, which is unsurprising given what passes for science at his house.

Now, Gunga's gonna rant about the one child law--but according to the CIA page quoted above, the total fertility rate is 1.73 per woman (2006 estimate)--so there is absolutely no evidence that the one child law is effective, nor that the discrepancy in males to females will either be maintained, or increase.

Finally, and once again according to the CIA World Factbook (Damn those facts ! ! !), the ratio of males to females in the United States is .97 males to each female, with a total fertility rate of 2.09 births per woman (all of the foregoing, once again, from a 2006 estimate). We should be able to supply some of their needs, along with the European Union, (same source as before), with .96 males to each female, and a total fertility rate of 1.47 births per female. I'm sure everyone will want to kick in to help preserve world peace.

We won't have to miss him. The mother ship has no intention of returning.

(In space, you cannot hear them blowing party horns.)
