@McTag,
Quote:
“Lets summarise shall we? Germany are well organised, well drilled and can pass the ball on the floor to each other. England…errr aren’t and cannot.”

In truth there wasn’t a colossal amount that England and manager Sampson could have done about that. Germany were just so much stronger, even with five absentees and playing at around 75% for the second-half.

I liked this short letter from the paper today:

Exactly!

@margo,

Man City got a bit lucky last night, but game on!

Chelsea are good at the moment. Not even a Huntelaar could save Schalke. Wink

My daughter, as a teenager, was offered a place on the Bristol Rovers Ladies team.

I hear you guys have Ferguson protesters in London too. I hope they don't burn down any of your stores.

@oralloy,
Nope. Just a peaceful demonstration.

And no-one was shot.

@oralloy,
Racism in police officers is discouraged over here, and we don't just let any idiot have a gun.

Why don't you crawl back under your stone, there's a good maggot.

Hey where's Spendius? Anybody know?
Has he died, or is he pissed off or just bored to death?

I was up by Burnley on Friday, on a ramble in the mist and clag. He lives up there somewhere I think.
Well if he's dead, he doesn't any more.

@McTag,
Last posted in July. Doesn't look good, I'm afraid.

He once referred to living in the Queen's favourite part of the UK. I recall googling that reference and coming up with some place called the ' Ribble Valley' which is up there, somewhere.

Today, at prime minister’s questions, the PM accused Ed Balls of "maso-sadism" - I thought, this isn't allowed anymore under the new UK porn laws.

@Walter Hinteler,

The Tory party know all about it. They're trying to reduce the penalties.

I once read about a scandal about certain elected representatives in Bordeaux, it involved boys from a childrens home and what Le Monde called "soirées sado-maso".

Correction: it was Toulouse, and I think I invented the boy's home part.
