@georgeob1,

It's good, I tell you, but maybe not for your blood pressure. Mr Coren has his father's way with words, and a wicked sense of humour.

The most amazing news of the week: apparently money changed hands in an illegal and immoral way to allow Qatar to be chosen as the 2022 host of the (soccer) World Cup.

That's absolutely astounding. Whoever would have thought that? FIFA officials have apparently not conducted the business properly.

(Paid in US dollars, with the USA a rival bidder, this one might run and run.)

So Romeo can hang his jingoistic head in shame.

Mate, the only vote i'm interested in is whether the Scots vote for independence.
If they do, we English will take it as a personal insult indicating that they don't like us.
I think you said you're against independence, but sadly you and all other scottish immigrants living in England are going to feel the backlash regardless of whether you were for or against it.
PS- I feel sorry for the jocks having that useless Salmond leading them, he's got the sort of idiotic face that needs a bloody good slapping..Smile

@Romeo Fabulini,

If that's so then that's a pity, but we have a police force to deal with the kind of people you describe.

I think most expats shoulders are broad enough to deal briskly with riff-raff.

If Scotland votes for Independence, that'll immediately relegate all the jocks living in England to the status of second-class immigrants who've deserted their own country to come take English jobs, housing and welfare benefits.
"WOT YOU DOIN IN OUR COUNTRY YOU BLEEDING JOCK?" will be heard in every English pub as the English go round looking for fights..Smile
If the jocks want trouble they'll sure as hell get it!
(I've already sent a letter to the Scotsman newspaper saying "Will all the Scottish immigrants living in England go home if Scotland becomes independent?")

@Romeo Fabulini,

Well let's see if they print it.

There's about ten times more "Scots" living in various other countries than live in Scotland.
But I repeat: "Our country" is Britain. We built England up to what it thinks it is. Jocks have as much right there as anyone else. And if some riff-raff disagree on racial/other grounds, then our police will be on hand to deal with them.

@McTag,
RM is a sad hatemonger looking for reasons to justify that hate. The only reason for that hate is that RM is a pathetic inadequate.

I just saw the Fleet Air Arm's retired chief test pilot, in a programme on BBC2 called Britain's Greatest Pilot, say that he witnessed Hitler shaking hands with Jesse Owens and congratulating him on his medals.

Now that is not what we were told.

I'm not trying to rehabilitate Hitler. The bastard is beyond redemption. I'm pointing out a fairly serious discrepancy in the narrative.

In fact the QI TV show partially exploded the Hitler/Owens myth some time ago when Fry said something like "Contrary to popular opinion, Hitler did NOT leave the stadium after Owens won".
Incidentally I saw the Eric Brown pilot program too, he was a diplomat based in Germany before the war and got to know them inside out. He said on camera that the Germans were "an evil race", so I'm surprised the producers didn't edit that bit out considering it's too sweeping a generalisation.
After all, Britain declared war on Germany, not the other way around.

Gosh !

It appears to me that, even on anonymous forums such as this, where one can talk tough without real risk, your inclination and ability to speak abusively to others very greatly exceeds your ability to take even mild irony yourself. Again I ask, what does that make you?

Griffin talks crap and I pay no attention to what he says, even if you do..Wink
He's corrupt and incompetent to the core, siphoning off BNP membership fees into his own pocket on the grounds that he needs it to hire teams of lawyers to defend him in court cases. What rubbish, he's a trained lawyer himself, so he could defend himself for free!

@Romeo Fabulini,
You sound like someone who once voted for him, like a lot of UKIP supporters. Griffin said the BNP was a racist party but people liked UKIP's brand of racism more.
