@izzythepush,
Nobody alive to check that out.

The Tinneys were exporters. Tinsmiths, of course.

The Samways were joiners, and importers of timber from north Africa.

And as an aside, my mother's family is from Kent, so I'm a pommy git as well.

You need to stop posting like a 13 year old prick. You just got here, learn some manners.

Doch, mein Freund. The Tartan Army is sufficient to meet any threat.

@McTag,
We can't expect poor Walter to know the truth, McTag, if he's been speaking to the agents of injustice again.

If Scotland becomes independent and the thousands of scottish immigrants who live in England go back there, we'll certainly miss the sight of them puking their guts up outside every english pub late at night..Smile

PS- and why did they emigrate to England in the first place? They can't have liked Scotland much!

@oralloy,
Well, smorgs has been a member here since November 14, 2004 but her last post was on January 3, 2012.

You're here since about the same time, but post until now.

Why do you call her a hypocrite? (And I'm certain that you didn't meet her personally either.)

@Romeo Fabulini,
About 10% of the Scottish population is "other British".
1.34% of the English population is Scottish born.

@Walter Hinteler,
Yes, we English don't like the Scots and other foreigners coming here and taking our jobs and houses, and scrounging our welfare benefits, so the sooner Scotland becomes independent the better, then we can deport them all..Smile

If that means we will be able tell what Newsnight's presenters are talking about I'm all for it.

I have often noticed that the English upper-class accent is much the easiest to understand.

Not a Proclaimers fan then? ("Bathgate no more, Linwood no more......")

It could be something to do with the fact that the steel industry, heavy engineering, shipbuilding, commercial vehicle assembly, car plants, etc etc etc, were all closed down or moved south.
They got on their bikes, as Mr Tebbit bade them do.

I'm sure the good people of Plymouth would be happier if you fucked off back to Leicester.

I'm English born and bred, so am perfectly entitled to live in any English city, unlike the Scots Welsh and Irish foreign immigrants who've deserted their own countries to come and sponge off the English..Smile
