@McTag,
The question won't arise Mac. Group A was hopeless.

@The Pentacle Queen,
It's great. The yokels are kicking their heels up and down the land in joy with H.M. the Queen winning the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot.

Were you not on the catering staff in the Royal Enclosure?

@izzythepush,
What can one say about the person who voted izzy's totally innocuous post down?

Nothing I suppose. Complete incomprehension about how anybody could get into such a state.

@spendius,
Ha, no I wasn't. Actually I didn't really do anything for the jubilee. It was pretty here though.

@The Pentacle Queen,
Just spent a couple of days in London. It rained all the time, heathrow was a tool chaos and the traffic was murder.

Nothing changes <sigh>

@The Pentacle Queen,
Isn't Brenda wonderful Queenie? Having Herself introduced to Black Caviar (Nelly) was a lovely moment.

@spendius,

That aussie jockey nearly made a big big blunder.
He'd have got his billabong in a sling if he had been six inches further back.

Very exciting race.

@izzythepush,
I know very little about Marlowe but it's hardly the style I would expect of him. He was a city man. The quote has something of the Warwickshire meadows about it.

It was too. I think Frankel would thrash it over any distance on any ground.

Six second stringers finished within 3 lengths of it. That's a sure sign. Murtagh was convinced he would have won if he hadn't missed the gate by 6 lengths.

But it was a great event. The Aussies deserved to win for bringing it over. I hope they noticed how gracious it was of our Queen to go down to give it a pat.

Not to me..she's not... Dumped that Mob of interbred money hungry leaches many years ago. Australia's royal family lovers would be in the minority over here now.

@tenderfoot,

You're ignoring the Kate factor.

Republicanism is fashionable and trendy; but the French and the Americans went gaga over the Jubilee celebrations.

Even Martin McGuinnesss will shake the royal hand this week. But maybe he'll be carrying a bomb.
