01/10/10 was a good day too.

I am not the least bit bothered by my pussy being discussed on the www. Indeed, pussies were pussies long before the AMERICANS decided it was a perfect porn name for a vagina - I find the AMERICAN usage of the word 'fanny' to be far more amusing than pussy...

'Fanny by Gaslight' is a perfect example.

Anyway, just came on to lower the tone of the thread.

@spendius,

First bigging up the Pope's visit, and the good works of the Catholic Church, and now referring unbidden to the birth of the Saviour? I never would have taken you for the religious type, Spendy.

Better than Gas by Fanny-Light. And a good deal safer.

Morning, peeps!

A word to the wise- don't bother heating mini pork pies in the oven, I just did, and it doesn't improve them.
Can you believe it, someone near and dear to me did not know that the expression to "scoff" comes from Escoffier the famous chef. Astounding.

Right, I'm off out to my class.

@Ticomaya,
I was so astounded Tico that I have only just recovered enough composure to be able to say so.

I wonder if Mac knows where the expression "to spaddel" comes from.

No, it doesn't. I looked it up later, and I was wrong.

England were too boring to watch.
Not a lot happening here.
What a circus at the mine in Chile. These foreign johnnies are so excitable. Apart from everything else, there are several religious orders there trying to ensure their God gets the credit.
Hope it all goes well, though.

@McTag,
It's the sex discrimination I object to Mac. There's doesn't seem to be any ladies involved. Why is the Grauniad not complaining about that? Do they only complain about sex discrimination in shadow cabinets and businesses selling chutney and whacking horses to go faster when their poor little legs must be aching.

I got my pussy back from the vet and they had shaved it and sewed it up.

Anyone watching the Australian Games ? Excuse me..that should be Commonwealth Games....it was so nice of Britain to show up and applaud us.

@Ionus,

Strange to relate, I have not watched any of the CG and have no interest in doing. It seems too parochial. I know that's daft, but it does.

That mine capsule torpedo thingy- built by the Chilean Navy, and having to be fixed (in front of the world's TV cameras) with cold chisel and a heavy hammer, after only five descents..
Not great.

I have been down a 2,500 ft deep mine on numerous occasions Mac and I never saw a Madonna, a whore or a mamma.

If you look at the diameter of the wheels and consider how many times they rotate over a rough surface during the 850 meter ascents & descents, and consider the consequences of a jam or piece of rock jarred loose by them. I think you will recognize that checking them out and relubricating the axles (which is what they were doing) was a reasonable and prudent precaution.

@georgeob1,

Well that's a different way of looking at it I agree, arising from your generous, ebullient and philanthropic nature.
Me, I think they should have made it tough enough and got it lubricated enough to run nonstop for two days.
