@Walter Hinteler,
Germany versus Holland would make a dream final Walter. The Dutch will always remember 1974!

How many Germans are suspended now, for the next game? Mueller, Schweinsteiger...?

(I'll get my paper later)

Hey, did anyone see Tim Minchin on Jonathan Ross last night?

He sang a nice song he had made up, about wanting to shag Jonathan Ross's wife.

Brilliant pianist/singer/songwriter.
Have a look on youtube.

@The Pentacle Queen,
We will have to hope Germany win then. 96 quid will do a bit of tackle trimming.

In a Chelsea charity shop one might get a nice pair of shoes, a couple of basques, black and blacker, a floor length pencil skirt in DANGER red with splits up both sides, a range of tops, and chokers, and some gold style personal ornaments and have enough left over to go in the Chippy next door and get double steak pudding, double chips, mushy peas, double bread and butter and gravy.

A gratuitous windfall should be dealt with gratuitously.

And I've backed Holland.

Have you a soft spot for Germany Queenie or had you been studying form?

By tomorrow we will know for sure, Dutchy! It's a match between the
Europeans only, all others have been eliminated by now.

@CalamityJane,
Cal--do you think the energies of Senor Torres have been sapped by his having had his haircut as the Bible teaches?

@spendius,
I don't know, spendius, but Abramovich certainly doesn't think so.

And still hope to fit into the pencil skirt?

Spendy, you seem to know an awful lot about women's clothing. And we never see you and Gok Wan in the same place. Hmmmm....

Anyway

Happy birthday to me

@CalamityJane,
Sorry C/J it was not to be, you went down fighting, could have been you as the teams were pretty evenly matched. Now for the final!

@Dutchy,
Dutchy, Germany deserved to lose this game - the Spaniards were clearly
the better team today. Now we're rooting for the Dutch team Very Happy

Happy Birthday, McTag!

Thank you everybody, and thank you Walter for the tune.

Tomorrow we're going out for a celebratory meal, tonight wasn't too suitable.
Later, a concert, the Robery Cray Band at the Bridgewater Concert Hall.

Boo. I loose, but it was going to be a tricky situation anyway, because I'm going to be in Barcelona for the final... with a Dutch friend.... Hmm.
